Katy Perry Rocks Spooky Performance Of ‘Dark Horse’ At Grammys

 

Katy Perry definitely lit the stage on fire at L.A.’s Staples Center with her performance at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards! She gave a magical performance of her brand new hit, ‘Dark Horse,’ that almost looked like it was straight out of ‘American Horror Story: Coven.’

With two Grammy nominations for her hit song Roar, we were a little surprised Katy Perry didn’t perform her hit song on Jan. 26! Instead she took on Dark Horse, one of our favorite new tracks, featuring Juicy J. She gave her song a super spooky spin with a witch theme — what did YOU think of her performance?

Beyonce & Jay-Z’s Sexy ‘Drunk In Love’ Duet Opens The 2014 Grammys

Music’s first couple Beyonce and Jay-Z kicked off the 2014 Grammy Awards in style, with a sexy rendition of ‘Drunk In Love’ that certainly set the mood for the rest of the night. They showed some adorable PDA, and we certainly saw more of Queen Bey than we’d ever seen before — her entire backside was exposed throughout the whole thing!

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards kicked off with a larger-than-life performance from Beyonce and Jay-Z, who performed their sexy love song “Drunk in Love” in front of a ravenous crowd of celebs at L.A.’s Staples Center on Jan. 26.

Justin Bieber: I Got Prescription Drugs From My Mom — Report

The Biebs admitted to being under the influence of prescription drugs, alcohol, and marijuana when he was arrested for a DUI and drag racing in Miami on Jan. 23, but he also reportedly admitted he got prescription anti-anxiety meds from his mother, Patti Malette.

Justin Bieber allegedly told Miami police that he got the prescription drugs that were in his system at the time of his Jan. 23 arrest from his mother, Patti Malette, reported TMZ. He admitted that he took prescription anti-anxiety medications, used marijuana, and drank alcohol before racing Lamborghinis with his friend, rapper Khalil.

When police asked Justin what prescription drugs he was taking, he reportedly told them that they were anti-anxiety pills, but he could not name the brand, reported TMZ. The reason he could not give the prescription’s name to the cops was because he allegedly said he takes whatever his mother gives him, the site explained.

It remains unknown if Justin’s mom was only managing his own prescriptions for him, or if she was giving him pills from her own medications, which would be an illegal offense.
If Justin does hold a prescription for the anti-anxiety medication, the amounts of prescription drugs in his system at the time of his arrest are not likely to be held against him, reported TMZ.

This is not the first time prescriptions have been linked to Justin. When police raided Justin’s home on Jan. 14 after he egged his neighbor’s property, the anti-anxiety medication, Xanax, was allegedly found in his house, along with MDNA.

Joyce Hawkins was so upset when Chris Brown, 24, yelled at her during their blowout fight at his anger management rehab facility that she opened her mouth and said the most hurtful thing she could think of — and it happened to be about Chris’ painful past with his ex Rihanna. Justin Bieber Arrested For DUI & Drag Racing In Miami

Oh no! Early on Jan. 23, Justin was arrested for drag racing and DUI in Miami Beach, police told NBC Miami.

It hasn’t been a good week for Justin Bieber. After being accused of egging his neighbors home on Jan. 9, his house was raided and his friend Lil’ Za was arrested for possession of drugs. However, now it sounds like Justin himself has gotten into trouble.

On Jan. 23, Justin was reportedly stopped for drag racing after leaving a club in a rented Lamborghini when police realized he was under the influence, police told NBC Miami.

Justin’s rep had no comment about his arrest.
Justin is currently in police custody at the Miami police department, TMZ reports, to determine his blood alcohol level.
TMZ added that he will be then going to jail, booked, and bail will be set.
This follows Justin’s adventure at King of Diamonds club to celebrate his friend Lil Scrappy‘s birthday in Miami on Jan. 20 where he spent $75,000, TMZ reported.

We’ve got a feeling that Pattie Mallette will be seriously upset about this. The 19-year-old’s mother recently admitted that she was worried for her son.
“I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots, and get influenced somehow,” she told The Sun.
Pattie, who had Justin when at 17, opens up about her own drug and alcohol battles in her book, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom, but today she’s just hoping her son can overcome his own.
“If Justin’s struggling, don’t kick him when he’s down or condemn him —  pray for him,” she said.

Sasheer has taken her act all over the country, including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Great American Comedy Festival, the Letterman Showcase in the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch Showcase. She says she loves to do stand-up every chance she gets!
2. She’s auditioned for SNL in the past.
This isn’t Sasheer’s first time the rodeo when it comes to auditioning for SNL. About two years ago, she took part in an SNL talent showcase where scouts from the show were looking for new cast members. She caught the attention of several scouts and has been on their radar ever since!
3. She attended the University of Virginia.
Despite living in New York and loving all of the city’s history and culture, Sasheer is a graduate of the University of Virginia. She holds a degree in drama. In 2009, she moved to the Big Apple to pursue her comedy.
4. Lena Dunham loves her!
After seeing one of Sasheer’s hilarious skits on the Internet in December, the Girls creator tweeted out her love for the jokester, writing, “This is crazy funny and a wonderful antidote to today’s internet.”
5. She’s not afraid to joke about racism.
As evident by some of the hilarious skits on her websites, Sasheer is not afraid to go there and open up the race dialogue. In a futuristic, sparkly black dress — and stunning arm-length gloves — Mariah killed the performance, hitting all the high notes and looking great while doing it. On a night that included performances from Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Florida Georgia Line, we think Mariah’s song may have been the most breathtaking.

James Avery: ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air’ Dad Dies At 65

So sad. The man who is best known for playing Will Smith’s Uncle Phil on ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ died on Dec. 31 after suffering complications from a heart surgery.

Rest in peace, Uncle Phil. James Avery passed away on Dec. 31 in a Los Angeles hospital. Unfortunately, after undergoing open heart surgery, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air actor suffered complications, according to TMZ. He was 65 years old.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who played James’ son on Fresh Prince, confirmed the actor’s death in a sad tweet:

James’ wife had reportedly been with him throughout the surgery and in recovery. However, she stepped away from his hospital bed for a brief moment, and she returned she learned that her husband had died, TMZ reports.

Though James is best known for playing the wise, lovable but firm dad and uncle to Will Smith on Fresh Prince, he had many starring roles throughout his career. He starred on TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, The Closer, LA Law, The Jeffersons, and more. His voice also gave life to Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

A classically trained poet and actor from Atlantic City, New Jersey, James got into the acting business after serving in the Navy in the Vietnam War. ”I knew I loved the arts,” James said on the show Unscripted. “I knew I wanted to be a writer, but the theater was something I had been involved in before.”

Lord Infamous: Founding Member Of Three 6 Mafia Dies At 40

So sad. Ricky ‘Lord Infamous’ Dunigan died on the night of Dec. 20 after suffering a heart attack in his sleep. He was just 40 years old.

It is a sad day in the hip-hop world, as it has been revealed that a founding member of the rap group Three 6 Mafia, Ricky Dunigan, better known as Lord Infamous, died in his sleep on Dec. 20 at the still young age of 40.

His bandmate and uncle DJ Paul confirmed the news, stating that Lord Infamous suffered a heart attack while sleeping at his mother’s house in Memphis, Tenn., according to Rolling Stone.

“He was at home sitting at the table and he just lay his head down and he just left us,” DJ Paul told the magazine. Paul said that Infamous had not been ill recently, though he did suffer a stroke in 2010.
Along with Juicy J, Infamous and Paul founded Three 6 Mafia in 1991. They released their debut album. Mystic Stylez four years later. But Three 6 Mafia didn’t merge into the mainstream until 2005, when their song for the movie Hustle and Flow, “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp,” won an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
More recently, Infamous was helping the remaining members of Three 6 Mafia — now called Da Mafia 6ix — on a new album, which is set to be released in March 2014.
“He was a legend in the game, truly ahead of his time,” Paul said. “He was such a great lyricist and he came with these different styles in his rap and his flow.”
