Is there anything that says “holiday” quite like Mariah Carey, champagne, and, um, Carson Daly? Okay, so the last one might be a stretch, but the three went hand-in-flute on Dec. 31 when Mariah rang in the New Year on “New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly.”

Sorry, Blake Shelton — you’ll always be our favorite spinny-chair judge on The Voice, but as a Voice coach even you have to admit that it’s all about Mariah. The wife and mother of two — who recently showed off a stunning Christmas bikini body — wowed the Times Square, New York crowd with her rendition of “The Art of Letting Go.”
In a futuristic, sparkly black dress — and stunning arm-length gloves — Mariah killed the performance, hitting all the high notes and looking great while doing it. On a night that included performances from Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Florida Georgia Line, we think Mariah’s song may have been the most breathtaking.
Mariah, Carson, and Blake were streamed live into millions of American living rooms for NBC’s annual special, which also featured Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner Jane Lynch.
